Vice -Chairperson Ron Lambrecht called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.  Present were members, Alderperson Raatz, Secretary Leone Christensen, Marilyn Mueller, Ron Lambrecht, and Pat Borneman.  Owen Farrell and Karen Herzog arrived at 5:45 pm. Public present was Mayor Miller.

Roll was taken and Authority was notified the Open Meeting Law had been complied with.

Motion by Raatz, second by Mueller to approve minutes of December 14, 2011 meeting.  Motion Carried.

Discussed Treasurer Report and Balance sheet from 2011.  Committee members felt that Day Care, Museum, Library and New Beginning should be paying the property insurance on their buildings.  Motion by Bornaman, second by Raatz, to accept Treasurer Report as presented.  Motion Carried. 

Need to see where we are with the Peshtigo Nation Bank Gillett Community Development Authority Loan Participation Agreement.  Ron Lambrecht will check with Keith Shallow.

Working on one Block Grant for Justin Bennett.

Nothing to report on CRLP.

Discussed New Beginnings.  Lambrecht will call Penny Helmle.  The City is losing about $2,000.00 a year on New Beginnings.  The City of Gillett pays $1,565.06 for insurance.   Motion by Farrell, second by Herzog to increase the rent of New Beginning Building to $1,325.00 starting March 1, 2012.  Will re-do lease to show that amount.  Motion Carried.

Will invite Dr Hauser from RGI and Gary Pemrich from Tourism and Marketing to help with Businesses and how to attract them.  Handed out a list of businesses.  Committee should look over and come back with suggestion.

Will continue to work on New Business Brochure and contact Building Inspector for information.

Motion by Raatz, second by Mueller  to go into closed session un WI SS 19.85(1)(e) deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties , the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons requires a closed session. To include Mayor.  Motion carried.
