Chapter A41
FEE SCHEDULE
[HISTORY: Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Gillett as indicated in section histories. Amendments noted where applicable.]
§ A41-1. Intoxicating liquor and fermented malt beverage licenses; cigarette license. [Adopted 11-6-2003]
The following license fees are hereby established:
A. Class "A" fermented malt beverage retailer's license: $50.
B. Class "B" fermented malt beverage retailer's license: $100. Said license fee of $100 shall be the charge for a calendar year or 3/4 of such amount for a six-month period. Class "B" fermented malt beverage retailer's licenses for brewers shall be issued pursuant to § 125.31(1), Wis. Stats.
C. Wholesaler's fermented malt beverage license: $50.
D. Special wholesaler's license: $50.
E. Beverage operator's license: $15 per year, which will include the charge of the Crime Information Bureau to the Police Department to do the necessary investigation.
F. Retail "Class A" liquor license: $100.
G. Retail "Class B" liquor license: $250.
H. Cigarette license: $5.
I. Part-time or semiannual liquor licenses shall be issued pursuant to § 176.05(6), Wis. Stats. Such licenses are not renewable during the calendar year in which issued.
J. Picnic licenses to organizations enumerated in § 125.26(6), Wis. Stats.: $10 per particular picnic or similar event, for no more than four consecutive days.
§ A41-2. Building permits. [Adopted 1-8-2004]
The following building permit fees are hereby established:
A. Residential.
(1) New residential (one family):
(a) For zero to 3,999 square feet: $750.
(b) For 4,000 square feet or more: $850.
(2) New residential (duplex): same as above plus $100.
(3) Additions: minimum fee of $70 the first $600 square feet. For additions of more than 600 square feet the fee will be $0.10 per square foot. If the Building Inspector determines that erosion control is necessary, there shall be an additional fee of $40.
(4) Measurement. Area calculations include all floor levels, basements, garages and all spaces enclosed by a roof. Fees include electrical, HVAC and plumbing permits, erosion control and state seal. The permit is good for two years and is nonrenewable.
(5) Accessory buildings: decks, garages and sheds:
(a) For zero to 150 square feet: $30.
(b) For 150 to 600 square feet: $40.
(c) For more than 600 square feet: $0.10 per square foot.
(d) Erosion control: $40 (if determined by Building Inspector to be necessary).
(6) Commercial antennas, 75 feet and above: $250.
(7) In-ground swimming pools: $50.
(8) Ponds (new or enlarging), less than 2,000 square feet: $50.
(9) Remodel/maintenance:
(a) Under $1,500: no cost.
(b) From $1,500 to $7,000: minimum $30.
(c) Additional $5 per $1,000 of valuation over $7,000.
(10) Re-roofing: $30 (any amount).
(11) Moving structure: $50 plus proof of insurance or bond for $250,000.
(12) Storm sewer permit: $40 (inspection done by Public Works Department).
(13) Variance: $200.
(14) Reinspection fee: $50.
(15) Failure to call for an inspection: $50.
(16) Occupancy without permission before final inspection: $100 per day.
(17) Permit fees will double if work is started before permit is issued.
(18) Permit is valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance, except for a new residential structure permit. Said permit is renewable one time except as otherwise provided herein. If a permit is renewed, the renewal fee shall be $20.
B. Commercial/industrial/multifamily permits.
(1) New structure:
(a) For zero to 2,999 square feet: $500.
(b) For more than 2,999 square feet: $0.10 per square foot to a maximum fee of $500.
(c) Erosion control: $150 (if determined by Building Inspector to be necessary).
(2) Additions:
(a) First 600 square feet: $80 minimum, then $0.10 per square foot to a maximum of $5,000.
(b) Erosion control: $100 (if determined by Building Inspector to be necessary).
(3) Remodel:
(a) Value up to $2,000: no permit needed.
(b) From $2,000 to $7000: $80.
(c) Over $7,000: $5 per $1,000 over $7,000.
(4) Re-roofing: $50 (any amount).
(5) Occupancy change of use permit. Said permit shall be issued by the Health, Protection and License Committee. Said change of use permit would be necessary if the use of a structure or property is changed, i.e. from a medical use to a title company use; from a residential use to a beauty shop use; or from a residential use to a light industrial use. Permit fee shall be $20.
(6) Permit is valid for one year for a new structure and shall be nonrenewable. All other permits are valid for a period of six months and are renewable one time. If a permit is renewed, the renewal fee shall be $30.
§ A41-3. Cemetery. [Adopted 5-17-2004]
The following prices shall be in effect:
A. Sale of each cemetery lot: $300.
B. Cost of grave opening and closing for vault: $500.
C. Cost of grave opening and closing for urn or infant vault: $200.
D. City payment to grave digger for burying vault: $400.
E. City payment to grave digger for burying urn or infant vault: $175.
§ A41-4. Dog license. [Adopted 10-7-2004]
A. The Common Council sets the price per year for the dog license as follows:
(1) For a spayed or neutered dog: $5.
(2) For other dogs required to be licensed under Wisconsin Statutes: $10.
B. The Clerk/Treasurer shall collect the set amount pursuant to Chapter 6 of the City Code.
§ A41-5. Miscellaneous fees. [Amended 12-2-2004]
The following fees are hereby established:
