Gillett Professional Police Association

The Gillett Professional Police Association is a group of police officers from the Gillett, Wisconsin Police Department. The Association's goal is to promote the bond between the Gillett community and the Gillett Police Department.

The Association's main project annually is the Gillett Professional Police Scholarship. This $250.00 award is granted annually to a graduating student of the Gillett High School who has decided to further their education in Law Enforcement.

Funding for such programs has come from an annual Little League baseball tournament and more recently from the officers themselves. Summer of 2003 GPPA held a "Traffic Jam" in which drivers bought a ticket to park in a raffle spot.

In 2005 the Gillett Professional Police Assn. became involved in the ATV Adventure Weekend, which featured an ATV Super Challenge race. In 2006 the Adventure weekend is scheduled for Sept 29,30 and Oct. 1 in Zippel Park. This years schedule is bigger than last and includes the ATV Pull, Super Challenge, Parade, Grass Drags and much more family fun and adventure. Come join the fun and help support the GPPA.
